What is Festival of Trees?

Celebrate the season with the Duxbury Boosters Festival of Trees! Duxbury High School athletic teams create one-of-a-kind themed holiday trees, each filled with decorations, gifts, and holiday spirit. Community members will have the opportunity to take home their favorite trees while supporting Duxbury Boosters and every Duxbury High School athletic program.

How It Works
Duxbury Boosters provides each team with a 3-foot artificial tree to decorate. Trees will be distributed at the October Boosters meeting. Please make arrangements for an alternate rep to pick up the tree if the team rep is not able to attend this meeting. 

Pick a Theme
Work with your team families, team captains and Boosters Student Representative to come up with a fun theme. Please sign up for your theme in advance. This helps avoid duplicate themes and gives everyone a unique tree to create.

Funding Your Tree
We recommend asking each team family to contribute $5–$10 to help cover the cost of the decorations and items for the tree. Even small donations add up quickly and make it easy to create a fantastic tree. Any unused funds can be donated back to Duxbury Boosters to support all athletic teams.

Suggested total value of the tree = $150 - $250

Gather Decorations and Gifts
Purchase themed items for your tree. Gift cards are always a popular addition and pair well with almost any theme. The most successful trees include family-friendly prizes that appeal to a wide range of ages. Items can be attached to the tree or displayed around the base to create an attractive presentation. 

Simple decorations from dollar stores, homemade touches, or holiday decorations and battery powered lights you already have at home can create a beautiful, eye-catching tree while keeping decorating costs down.

Please attach a tag to the tree with your team name and tree theme. 

NOTE: The winner will receive the entire tree, including all decorations, ornaments, and themed items. Please only use decorations that can be given away as part of the prize.
