Special Grant Request

Special Grants are intended to fund additional items, programs, training, or enhancements that go beyond what is required for a team to participate or compete. To help ensure grant funds are distributed equitably across all Duxbury athletic teams, Special Grants are generally awarded to an individual team no more than once every three years. Exceptions may be considered based on the nature of the request, available funding, and the needs of the athletic program.

Teams are encouraged to discuss Special Grant ideas with the Duxbury High School Athletic Director before submitting a request to Duxbury Boosters. This helps ensure that proposed projects align with the needs and priorities of the athletic department.

Submitted requests are reviewed by the Athletic Director and the Duxbury Boosters Board. Requests that move forward are presented at a monthly Duxbury Boosters meeting and voted on by Boosters Board Members and Team Representatives, ensuring that all sports have a voice in the funding process.

Funding decisions are based on the project’s impact, available funding, and the goal of providing equitable support across all Duxbury athletic teams over time.

Special Grant funding is not available for uniforms, team trips, transportation, or end-of-season banquets.
