Team Representatives Responsiblities

Booster Representatives are the voice of their athletic program within Duxbury Boosters. They serve as the connection between their team and the Boosters organization, helping keep families informed, representing their team's interests, and ensuring every athletic program has a voice in Boosters decisions.

Responsibilities

• Attend monthly Boosters meetings (2nd Tuesday of the month at Duxbury High School)
• Stipends are provided to the Boosters Team Rep, who coordinates with coaches, captains, and other team leadership to determine how the funds are used to best support the athletic program.
• Organize your team's Festival of Trees donation. See more information HERE. 
• Share Boosters news, events, and opportunities with captains' parents and families. 
• Stay in contact with the Student Booster Representative for your team. 
• Encourage families to become Boosters Supporters. 
• Assist in recruiting volunteers for concessions and Boosters events. 
• Present team funding requests and other needs, as appropriate.
• Vote on funding requests and other Boosters business at monthly meetings. 
• Serve a one-year term, with the opportunity to continue each year.

Meeting Attendance

Monthly meeting attendance is an important part of being a Booster Representative. Representatives are expected to attend meetings throughout the school year, even when their sport is not in season, so every team is represented when important decisions are made.

We understand that schedules can be busy. If you're unable to attend a meeting, please arrange for another representative from your team to attend in your place whenever possible.

Student Representatives

Student Representatives help strengthen the connection between Duxbury Boosters and their athletic program. They should stay in regular communication with their Team Booster Representative and help share Boosters information with their teammates.

TEAM STIPENDS 

Booster Representatives play an important role in encouraging families to become Boosters Supporters. Please remind families that becoming a Boosters Supporter does not require volunteering or additional responsibilities. It's simply a way to show support for Duxbury High School athletics.

• Every sport receives a $250 Season Stipend at the beginning of its season. Stipends are provided to the Boosters Team Rep, who coordinates with coaches, captains, and other team leadership to determine how the funds are used to best support the athletic program.
  
  
• Teams are eligible to receive an additional stipend based on Boosters Supporter participation. Check HERE for details. Please encourage your sport's families to sign up by mid-season to receive an additional stipend! 
• Stipend checks are intended to support your sport during the current season. Please deposit or cash your check promptly. Checks that remain uncashed after the season may be voided to help Duxbury Boosters maintain accurate financial records.
• Special Project Grants are available to support larger purchases and initiatives that enhance the student-athlete experience. Sports may present grant ideas for equipment, technology, facility improvements, or other projects that fall outside the Boosters stipends to the Athletic Director for consideration. • Have an idea? If your team has a great idea that could enhance the student-athlete experience, we'd love to hear it! While larger projects are submitted through the Athletic Department's Special Projects Grant process, the Duxbury Boosters Club may be able to help fund smaller requests (generally under $500) on a case-by-case basis.
